Karim Ghantous
Ladies and gentlemen, behold! I present to you scientific proof that photography communication is getting more stupid by the year: http://i411.photobucket.com/albums/pp199/16bits/photography_stupider_zpsppd1oxus.jpeg I would submit to you that this type of magazine, by virtue of existing, not only has zero value, but in fact has negative educational effect. The good thing is that most beginners - nay, almost all - are smart enough to go directly to the internet for this kind of stuff. You see, I do ultimately have faith in humanity. Karim Ghantous
Hmm. Well, I can't embed an image from either Google Photos or Dropbox. So I'll just put a link here: https://goo.gl/photos/t86eYEedGo7sjYwi9
Jochen_S
Thanks for the link. - Dunno. Looks like the front page of a "Canon for absolute beginners" guide marketing itself? The language seems comparable to other mass marketed magazines? Sorry, my English isn't native, so I might overlook something and I refrain from buying magazines and similar in general. I had a book written around usage of my 1st 35mm SLR 30+ years ago, but I watched Youtube tutorials and read online stuff about my last one. I also read probably similar books about the early 80s' Canons & Nikons. Questions like manual vs auto have been discussed to death, but I assume an iphonographer buying a first dedicated camera will benefit from tips to get the best out of their AF or adjustable(!) aperture. Who are we to judge books by their covers?
PapaTango
Looks to me like a mag for intro level photo enthusiasts. People need them. Seen on p. 31: "And this button over here will make your cat disappear..." "I See Things..." The FotoFora Community Experience [Link] A new community for creative photographers.
