reportsfromluke
I have acquired some Kodak DK-50 which I would like to use with my Arista 100film. I checked on the massive development chart and there is no recommendationfor development times. Usually I use Kodak T-Max 1:4 and find that thisfilm/developer pairing allows me to push and pull very well. Can I keep thesesame characteristics with the DK-50? Any help is appreciated. Thanks -R

profhlynnjones
Test using DK50 1:1, it was designed for thick emulsions and as the films got better, the dilute version tended to be more useful. Lynn
ted_wellendorf
DK-50 is one of my favorite developers. I have found the times for D-76 1:1 and DK-50 1:3 are very similar. It's a good starting point. The times I use are Arista 50 / Panf+ 50 asa DK-50 1:1 5 minutes Arista 50 / Panf+ 50 asa DK-50 1:3 9 minutes Plus-X Old 125asa DK-50 1:3 12 minutes Agfapan 100 100 asa DK-50 1:3 18 minutes TMax-100 100 asa DK-50 1:3 15 minutes TMax-400 400 asa DK-50 1:3 18 minutes Tri-X old 320 asa DK-50 1:3 17 minutes Kodak Part # EKY146924 1 gal $6.
elliot_myrick1
Follow all processing times designated for Kodak T-Max Developer using Kodak DK-50 1:1 and you'll NEVER go wrong.
