peter_smith11
Does anyone have experience of this model, especially for scanning 6 x 6 negatives. Thanks Peter Smith
lloyd_rabanus
It's a great scanner. I use it for 6x7 transparencys as well as negatives. Also does a fine job scanning from pictures. I scanned a 4x5 print at 1200 (383 meg file) and then printed it on My HP 1220C Deskjet. at 2400 dpi 8x10 on premium photo paper. There is very little difference between this print and the one done at the lab. You will like the 5370C very much! grunzweig photography
I've been using mine for 6 months. It's great for both transparencies and prints. It is the best bargin for quality.
siu_fai_au1
For Lloyd and Kenneth: How do you use it with print films? I have had a couple of occasions to use this scanner and have good results with framed 6x6 slides. But my attempt to use it with print film was very disappointing. There is no MF masks supplied with the scanner so my negatives got curled up. When I set it to negative mode, the software assumes that I'm using the 35mm mask and the preview looks awful. My third attempt by scanning them as slides and converting them with Photoshop was nothing but a disaster. What am I missing here? Siu Fai
john_giatropoulos
Would this be a good choice to convert my b&w negs (most in strips of 4, but some 3) to digital? Also have quite a few slides in cardboard mounts. Would I be able to scan these without taking them out of the cardboard mount?
