Also read that solutions can accumulate particulate matter so I filtered it at least through a paper towel occasionally. rick_drawbridge
A new consignment of the Bergger Pancro 400 arrived a couple of days ago, 14 days from California to New Zealand at a freight cost of $22.50 via FIMS, a service and cost I consider to be quite acceptable. Having done a little more tidying-up on the Agfa Billy Compur I featured in last weeks thread, including freeing up the spring-loaded cover over the frame number window on the rear of the camera, I loaded up a roll of the Pancro 400 and took a walk around town on a very bright and sunny morning. The Solinar lens on the camera is very sharp and distortion-free, though lacking the contrast we expect from our more modern film cameras, but it performs very well for a lens constructed around 75 years ago. Overall, I was pleased by the results, and I'll post half a dozen samples. Bill Bowes
Hello everyone. A small shipment of the Panchro400 has also landed on my doorstep. What is your asa setting & development time Rick? I presume PMK of course ! Bill
rick_drawbridge
Bill, I'm still experimenting a little, but 200 ISO seems to be safe with the PMK Pyro, certainly no slower. Development : 75oF, 1-2 per 100 dilution, 2 gentle inversions per minute on the minute, 13 minutes. Treat this only as a starting point, obviously. I'm looking forward to seeing how you go with it, especially since we use similarly ancient cameras!

rick_drawbridge
A very tidy copy of the Konica SII rangefinder camera turned up last week. I've had a working but rather battered example for some years, and I'm pleased to lay hands on a respectable one. I shot a test film this afternoon, and was delighted to find that the iconic 48mm Hexanon f/2 lens is right up to scratch. The film was Kentmere 100 developed in PMK Pyro. Ready to ride, Minolta SRT 101, MD 35-70 f3.5, Fuji Superia 200 souped at home in C41 kit Bike is not a true classic, it just has a classic look. Rather like a modern camera that has a retro look. Mike Gammill
Thanks, Tony. Still have a few more rolls of the Rolleipan so I will try some more stand developing. I have a one roll of TMAX 100: I wonder how it would do with stand developing.
Bill Bowes
Ages ago during my kayaking hayday, a rumor floated around the Seattle crowd that someone had put an American Croc/Salty hybrid in the waters of Vancouver Island to control the Canadian Geese. . Rumor confirmed by Tony ! Look at that "GMO" beast on the roof ! Is the part about "her" biting the Minister of Interior on the butt before being dispatched by a Mountie true ?? Nice find Rick. Wish I had those flower bowl protectors for the cats & chickens rummaging about. Oh, my Panchro 400 is 135-36 & will run it thru the Zorki/Jupiter this week.
