mikaelohlen
Hello. I have just bought a PME90 for my Hassy 205FCC. I think I have the need to fit a correction lens to it (Hasselblad art no. 42450 (plus)). I found one on Ebay. The seller says its only a piece of a plastic ring and that it contains no glass lens. Does anyone know if there should be a glass lens fitted in the ring or if its just a distance ring between the PME90 and the regular eye piece? I hope I was clear enough to understand. Thanks Michael
Ed_Ingold
It should have a lens, roughly the same as your prescription for distance vision. The PME90 eyepiece has some adjustment, but not accessible without some disassembly. If you need a supplementary diopter lens, you may be able to have a local optician fabricate a lens to fit the ring. That is a suggestion in one of the Hasselblad manuals. I would expect it to be a circular, threaded metal ring, not plastic. Diopters for Hasselblad WLFs have a plastic ring, replacing the existing lens entirely. charles_mason
I am pretty sure the PME90 has an easily adjustable diopter in the eyepiece. No disassembly needed, and no accessory diopter...
Ed_Ingold
I am pretty sure you have to remove the eyecup and loosen a lock ring. Older prism finders are not adjustable at all. The only easy-focus finder I know is the "Chimney", which is perfect for critical focusing.
