marc_bergman1
It almost sounds like an April Fools joke but the camera is for real. The July 1957 issue of Popular Photography has the details. Fisheye-Camera-1-sm-

JDMvW
That fisheye was quite a sensation at the time! Thanks for helping us all revisit those "thrilling days of yesteryear" :D
Julio Fernandez
Another great window into the past. Thanks for sharing these! I like the writing on the Washington show: "Serenar, now there's a fine, soothing name". A Retina appears at the beginning of the LVS article; and I know now whom to blame for LVS (Herr Deckel of Compur fame). So many novelties in the ads: among them, Konica III, and a rarity named Asahiflex that offered instant-return mirror in an SLR (will this extravagant feature succeed in the market?). rick_drawbridge
Thanks, Marc, I'm slowly catching up with your posts. The TLR lineup is really interesting; what a fine collection an example of each would make! I was interested to see that the Mamiyaflex, forerunner to the popular "C" series, had Zuiko lenses, something I was not aware of.
