noahspaulding
So I picked up this lens along with a Minolta XG-7 body at a flea market a few years ago for around $50. I’ve tried my best to identify it but I can’t find anything and I just give up. Any help would be much appreciated!

Tony Parsons
In the UK, Galaxy lenses were sold under the Prinz banner by Dixons. Don't know if that is any help.
JDMvW
Given that brand-name lenses of this focal length are selling for much less than $50, many for as little as $9, this is not a lost treasure. There were companies that chunked out these lenses and put whatever name the wholesaler wanted on them. A few were just fine, many not so much. If you have a camera it will mount on, go have fun with it. Here are some early (1980) Tokina lenses advertised by Asanuma -- and this was one of the best of the small lens companies. glen_h
I think I got my Nikon AI 80-200 for $11, which I thought was a good price. From a local Goodwill, so no shipping charges. Yes, so many manual focus, and even earlier AF lenses, for low prices. -- glen
