Hector Javkin
I need to send in my Nikon D750 under the latest expansion of the recall of these bodies. If you have sent in a camera body to Nikon for repair or replacement under a recall, how long did it take for you to get it back? I use my cameras, especially this one. Bill J Boyd
Earlier this year I sent my D750 in for shutter repair. I think it took about 4 or 5 weeks.

ShunCheung
Hector, is your D750 showing any problems? If not, I might skip the recall altogether or at least wait a month or so until the initial flood subsides. I have an early D750 and it was recalled in 2015. It has no recall related problems and I would have ignored the recall altogether, as I have done with my really early 200-500mm/f5.6 AF-S VR. I sent my D750 in for an unrelated GPS connection issue and they did the recall repair also. Two years ago it took about 10 days or so round trip. I live in the San Francisco area and it is two-day UPS Ground shipping each way to and from Nikon in Los Angeles. They had the camera for only a few days. Hector Javkin
I am grateful to both Shun and Bill for their responses. Shun, my D750 is working well, no shutter problems, and I thought about delaying sending it in. However, I can live without it right now, can use my other cameras, but I'll want it in August and need it in September.
Sandy Vongries
Hector, thanks for bringing the issue up -- might have missed it. Printed down the docs and will send mine off Monday. It works well nearly all of the time, then for no reason will deliver a totally black frame in the midst of a series of good shots. Not critical, hobbiest, and I have other cameras, but if it comes back better, I'm ahead of the game!
peter_langfelder
I dropped my D750 off at Nikon service center in Los Angeles, and had it back in about a week (dropped it off on a Friday and got an "it's ready for pickup" call from them next Thursday or so). But different centers may have different wait/work times, and those could vary even for one center depending on demand.
Matt Laur
Long after the rush when it was first announced, I availed myself of their open-ended recall of the D600. They turned it around (with an entire new shutter assembly) in about a week (plus shipping time from CA to the East Coast).
Sandy Vongries
Sent mine off today -- will have input at some point!
