Should I buy a new strap?

All 3 of my cameras havea a cam-in strap, because they're cheap. Thinking of changing one just to make thigns fresh. I'm looking for a black one, not leather because I don't like the feeling of them. Sailor straps are a bit expensive. I have 2 exact same straps that's why, and they look like this. Thanks

"Should I buy a new strap?"

- Your money, your call. Don't look to us to excuse your spending.

"Thinking of changing one just tomake thigns fresh."

- That's no reason IMO.

Is your existing strap worn out, insecure or uncomfortable? Those are good reasons to replace.

The strap shown above looks almost unused, and what you're describing is just a whim and an excuse to yourself to spend money. If that makes you happy, go ahead.

As I said; your money, your call.

OTOH, if you're asking for suggestions for a better strap - what camera is it for?

What are your needs in a camera strap? If it's a fashion statement, I can't help.

As I get older, I can't tolerate a thin strap for a camera heavier than about a1-1/2 pounds. The last one which qualified was a Leica M9. For heavy Nikons, I switched to Op-Tech straps, with a web backing and wide foam pad. Even that became tiresome because it puts a strain on my lower back, so I switched to cross-shoulder straps. That puts the weight in line with my spine, even with an heavy camera and lens, like a Nikon D3 + 70-200/2.8. Since the strap connects to the bottom of the camera, it was inconvenient to remove the strap so the camera would fit a tripod. My current strap is a Magpul single-point rifle sling with an RRS mini-clamp, which attaches to the RRS plate on the camera. It's black, and fits my rifle too.

Your needs may vary, but this is an example of the thought process you should undertake.
