gordonjb
Thanks Edwin I too would like to know where the photo was taken. I also considered wood frog as like you say it does appear to have a ridge. I googled Rana arvalis and it looks remarkably similar to our wood frog.
Leslie Reid
Does anyone have an ID for the anemone's meal here? Would this be a colonial hydroid? (it was about 15-20 cm long, exposed at a negative tide on the northern California coast)

MarcelRomviel
Marcel your photo is of a chorus frog. Psuedacris crucifer or possibly Psuedacris triseriata depending on your location. Thank you Gordon. I'm in the Netherlands and the frogs you mentioned do not live here according to wikipedia. After searching online it looks like a species of pelophylax but I'm not sure.
gordonjb
I think Edwin got it correct with Rana avalis which would be a species native to the Netherlands.

MarcelRomviel
I think Edwin got it correct with Rana avalis which would be a species native to the Netherlands. It could be a moor frog but I thougth that is was too green. According to some websites there seem to be some hybrids hopping around.
