It's not a challenge, it's a rule. ;-)

I was referring to this in the OP's post;

Realizing that we can't have a Monday without MiN, and acknowledging that the challenge posed by this long-running challenge thread (the challenge: make a photo that fits within the guidelines posed) is one that so many of us enjoy, and appreciating the dedication of Laura in keeping it going for so long, as well as the initiative that Gup showed last week--I figured I'd leap in for this week.

but you are now at the Nature MIN forum with a tried and true set of rules that participants enjoy.

I understand that the participants of this forum are at equilibrium with the rules and I am fine with that. However, equilibrium shifts with time, with the joining of new participants and change of outlook of the old ones. If that ever happens, I am simply putting down my viewpoint.

I don't want to prolong this discussion here, since this is primarily meant for photos. I had a feeling there was a profound misunderstanding in the previous "discussion" and it was suggested to participate in the forum before criticizing. Hence my post and I felt a need to clear up what I wanted to say that got lost in the emotions.

Thats would be all from me.

Supriyo, I am sure things will fall into place when the right time comes. No need for empty talks now. Thanks.

There are many many fine forums where evidence of the hand (or other attributes) of man / woman are not only welcomed but practically obligatory. I cherish MIN as being one place where I am, I hope, unlikely to find evidence of the depredations of the most destructive species ever to befoul this beautiful planet.

It is Friday now. Do we have one volunteer to start a new thread next Monday?

I'm not able to access the site regularly anymore. It throws me off within 20 seconds otherwise I'd say yes for sure.

Jin knows about the problem but so far after 2 months of on-again, off-again we haven't been able to solve it.

Photo.net won't completely load on my browser and instead flashes on and off. I get part way through a post or upload and then it's all deleted before I'm finished. Apparently I'm the only one here with this same complaint. My Mum always told me I was special.

Now that's quite special. ;)

I use Google Chrome. When this new site started, the browser was flashing and twitching and it drove me crazy. But other browsers did not have a problem. Then someone told me to reset, clear cache and cookies, and it has been all right since as far as this problem was concerned.

That said, you may have something different. I wonder if the solution presented here (link) is relevant to your tech issue.

Here's another (link).

Good luck Gup.

Gup, that issue I have experienced on my iPhone. Therefore, perhaps it is related to the Safari browser, at least the version on iPhone and iPads. While I have a MacBook for work, typically I visit photo.net using a Windows PC or iPad.

Anyway, do we have a volunteer for next Monday? If not, it will be whoever has a chance to start it first.
