Here we are again, another week to share your photos (assuming you can navigate the new site). Please try, its not as hard as it seems. The site help forum has some good info. Anyways, I'll kick-off the week with a photo of one of my best friends. Taken with a Summicron 50 on a Mirrorless camera. Lets see what you got this week. Anything you want to put up, but portraits might be nice for a change.17948061-orig.jpg

Poi is a "staple" in the Hawaiian diet and is made by mashing cooked taro roots (kalo). Here are some of the implements used. Poi pounders are the primary tool. Formed from dense/heavy lava rocks, they work the kalo into the paste most of us love in Hawaii, others, well ? ? The small poi pounder & thick wood slab on the right are family (Ohana) heirlooms dating to the 1860's. Fed-2 / Jupiter-8, UFX100, PyrocatHD & V600 scan. Aloha, Bill
