Laura Weishaupt
For the first MiN in the new digs we're doing pretty good. Given the nature of the current storm off Maine, my guess is that the otter has taken cover and this shoreline will look very different tomorrow, Then it will be an otter playground. Gotta love otters.
Leslie Reid
The color in the Blue Lagoon is amazing, Mary. Here's another blue-water spring in volcanic terrain, this one at Jackson Kimball State Park in southern Oregon from last October.

Leslie Reid
Laura - Nope. I was just given editing permissions for the Site Help forum to clean up the How-To Manual thread and add a table of contents. (BTW, there's now a table of contents in the Part 1 thread) So I appear to be operating under false pretenses!
Laura Weishaupt
I was just curious. One never knows sometimes. I see now that you've been switched to dotdotdot. Keep up the good work.

Rod Sorensen
David, I have been spending hours this winter working on my birds in flight (specifically eagles in flight) techniques. You just gave me a new target to shoot for. Can you share some technical details on that shot - camera, lens, focal length, focus settings, f-stop and shutter speed come immediately to mind? Thanks. Rod Thanks Rod. If you click on the image, it'll link you to the image on my Flickr site. There, hit the expand arrows and then hit F11 to see full-screen. Un-expand and look at the EXIF, which you can also expand. Once you've digested that, feel free to write me at dcstep@swbell.net for more details. I can look at some of your images, if you like, and critique. BIF shots are tough and equipment DOES matter, no matter what some dufus that's never done it may tell you. Rod Sorensen
Not sure where I should post this, but since it is occurring when I visit this site, I'll post here and Laura can forward it to the right person. On my iPad I don 't have any trouble navigating this site. Easily went through this post, both pages, no problems. However, on my PC it is a different story. On the Monday MIN post, it sticks me to the top of page one. If I try to scroll down, I can get to the 2nd or 3rd post and then get bumped back up to the top. I can't scroll further down and therefore also can't post, no matter what I do. Furthermore when I'm stuck at the top, the page jumps around vertically between just seeing the bold guidelines or also seeing the first several lines of Laura's post. Have tried refreshing the page without any change. Have even totally closed out of photonet and come back without any change. Really frustrating.

Tony Parsons
I'm chuffed - first ever 'successful' bird-in-flight shot (well, you can see it's a bird !) Actually taken with 'new' 17-55 WR 'kit' lens on first outing. Looks like this could be a good year.
Laura Weishaupt
Rod, Over in Site Help there are "how to" threads. The jumping around and refresh problems have been addressed there. I'll refer you to those threads rather than try to articulate an answer here. I don't understand it well enough to speak to it. They also talk about different browsers and OS's, so try there, if you haven't already. I hope you can get it sorted out. Lovely owl. I've never seen one in the field. Mary Doo
Mary, try clearing your old Photo.net cookies in Chrome, saw this suggested for Chrome in the new PN user manual. Thanks Mark. That did it. - Though it's still puzzling why only Photo.Net had the problem. I will have to re-find/re-key all saved passwords on pertinent sites. But this is a small price to pay for bye-bye to nerve-twitching screens.;)
Rod Sorensen
So I was able to clear the cookies and get seemingly normal behavior, EXCEPT that now I can't see my own image post of the owl above on my PC. Can see it on my ipad. ?????
Laura Weishaupt
Try posting the owl again with the PC, maybe it went out from the history with the cookies?
