Great stuff Howard. Boxing Day looks like fun and those B&Ws are Sherlock Holmesian. I bought a 35-105 Maxxum lens despite the less than perfect description. It was really low priced ($15) so not much was at risk. I put the lens on the trusty A100 and took took several shots. Focus and shutter worked with well exposed images. Thought I was home free with a good inexpensive lens. Examination of the internal surfaces showed that this was not completely true. Image number 1 (taken with the Nex 3) tries to show the aberration on the back of the first (?) element. Sorry about the reflections.

00eIbe-567154384.thumb.jpg.988d7be2c0a7fbcf2b116130d4cdb1a3.jpg
