Sony/Minolta pictures of the week | 18 December

<p>I'm sorry to have missed last week's postings, but there is always another week ...</p>

<p>On Thursday I went to Towcester to photograph some horse racing with a friend. The course is friendly and welcomes photographers, and there's easy access to the second-last hurdle.</p>

<p>Your second shot is particularly impressive, Howard.<br>

I offer "tribal" women at a rally to press for rights to the forest, on which they depend for sustenance and livelihood.</p><div></div>

<p>Howard, I have the same lens but I think getting one and attaching it to my camera would not get the same results. The pictures of horses in action are interesting. Mukul was there a positive outcome from the demonstration?<br>

We had ice on the trees which always catches the eye. </p><div></div>

<p>Randy, the limited aim was to get publicity. A few newspapers carried reports, and I think one television channel. The long term aim is to form an organisation large enough to work as a pressure group.</p>

<p>This lady is likely to pass on at any time and I was asked to look for photos I have taken of her. I found several, dating from the early 1970s, and this one, taken last year at her youngest grand-son's wedding.</p><div></div>
