Will this mount on my Canon AE-1

<p>Just bought this lens for my Canon AE-1 says it's an FD mount but no chrome ring??<br>

Tried to twist it on. Red wing lines up and fits the mount but when i do twist the lens it doesn't 'lock in'</p>

<p>Yes. That is Canon's "New FD" lens mount. Canon designed this to turn their venerable breech lock mount (w/ the chrome ring) into a bayonet mount. Somewhere around 45 degrees, that square chrome button should click and pop up a bit. To remove the lens, push in the chrome button and twist the lens.</p>

<p>It's red dot on camera to red bump on lens and then a little less than a quarter turn of the entire lens clockwise.<br>

Don't push in the chrome button on the lens before you mount it.</p>
