kathy_judd
Hi everyone,

I looking at doing videos for fun. Since the length will be more than 30+ minutes I can't use my DSLR because it doesn't have auto restart when file limit is reached.

It's very hard to find camcorders with adjustable aperture, iso, and shutter controls. The only camcorder I can find is Canon VIXIA HF G20 but it's a little out of my price range.

Do you know of any camcorders $200-$350 price range with full manual controls?

Thanks,
Kathy
parv
I seriously doubt, but would be happy to be proved wrong, that the video camera you want exists.
You could look for used one (at B&H, Adorama, KEH) for Canon HF G20 (should go for G30, really), Panasonic HC-V750 or -V770 with some manual control over the settings. craig_shearman1
"Since the length will be more than 30+ minutes"

Why would you be shooting continuously for 30 minutes? Even if you're documenting a school play, etc,, there are always natural break points where you can start and stop. In most video work, individual shots in an edited, final product seldom last more than a few seconds each, maybe a minute or two if it's a talking head.
jeff_higdon
Canon has the HFG20 in stock refurb for $449. So, as you say, it's only a little bit out of your range.
https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/vixia-hf-g20-refurbished
