mark_stephan2
A few years ago I started using Canon AF film cameras. My EOS-1N gets heavy at times and I'm thinking about the ELAN series of bodies. Was the IIe the first prosumer grade body to use the QCD? For an inexpensive 2nd AF film body I want to make sure it has a QCD because I like shooting in M mode. I'll consider others as long as they have that second dial. I'm thinking IIe because I see them on eBay for less than $20.00 which is appealing to me.
Ken Katz
You can find your answers here: http://global.canon/en/c-museum/product/film148.html I would probably get an Elan 7 or 7N.

cabbiinc
The advantage that the Elan IIe has is the eye controlled focus. The camera monitors what you're looking at through the viewfinder and uses that for it's focus point. This can be overridden of course and just use one of 3 focus points or let the camera auto detect from those three.
