Pentax Spotmatic problem

<p>Hi, So I was helping a friend by trying to move some wires so he can use a normal battery in the camera (Would also appreciate a fix for that) but when I was trying to find where the red wire went I unscrewed the 3 screws connecting a small block of sorts with 2 cogs and rods attached to it on the opposite side of the camera from the shutter-release button. This little bit of metal now refuses to go all the way down and sits about a millimeter above the rest of the camera. It can't be screwed back in as a result. Someone help please? Would really appreciate it.<br>

<p>That little block carries the shutter curtain tension adjustment screws (the 2 cogs). I suggest you have a repair technician put it back together for you.</p>

<p>To return to batteries....Spotmatics have a "bridge" meter circuit, which is not affected by battery voltage, so any battery which fits the holder can be used. You may need some packing so it fits correctly - an "o" ring around a smaller cell works well.</p>
