yogesh_arora
Hi Guys

Is October a good time to travel to Tuscany in October end with the primary purpose of photography. Would it be still green and vibrant as it is in Spring. I am not sure how fall looks like in Tuscany.

Yogesh
david_henderson
It will not look like spring.
Assuming you mean southern Tuscany- in the area known as "Il Crete" - the velvet greens of spring are due to emerging cereal crops . By summer its golden, then the crops get harvested and subsequently the fields are ploughed ready for the next crops . Predominantly, southern Tuscany looks ploughed in fall. Its not unattractive, and the colour of soil does vary quite a lot, but its nothing like spring.
Elsewhere in Tuscany there's more woods and vineyards and again the lush greens of spring won't be present, though vineyards in fall can sometimes be quite attractive.

yogesh_arora
Thanks David

That what i had also thought. I saw a workshop from a photographer in October end. That made me wonder if October is also a good time. But for the first time i would rather go in spring. Maybe i can explore other seasons in subsequent trips
david_henderson
Yogesh

I think that's a good plan. Autumn and even summer have a lot to offer. But no doubt about it, spring is the easiest time to get good photographs in southern Tuscany, south of Siena, which is where most photographers go.
