richard_rodriguez1
I'm looking for much better support for my new Sigma 150-600 mm lens on my Manfrotto 685B monopod, if possible. In looking around, I've been looking at the Wimberley P50 but am not sure which head I might use that may or may not work with my current monopod. I would appreciate some suggestions with my current monopod or if I might need a new monopod, then that would be appreciated. Or, if a different plate might be better, I'd like like to hear about that as well. I love the new lens but really am nervous about making sure it is solidly supported. Thanks. photo_galleries
If you have the Sport version, then Wimberley does recommend the P50; If you have the Contemporary version of this lens, then Wimberley recommends the P30. I have a few Wimberley plates and I would certainly follow their recommendations.

You do need a beefier monopod--you have plenty of options, depending on the type of head that you want to use, and how much you want to spend, plus a few other criteria.
