<p>True, the mount would need to maintain the same flange to sensor distance, but there are other reasons to go mirrorless, like fewer moving parts, real-time viewing, etc. However, given Nikon's lack of capability with CDAF, it remains to be seen if they can produce a mirrorless body that's even remotely close to their SLRs.</p>
