Hi guys, i have HXRMC2500 camcoder and im looking for a cheap sdi fiber link solution, so far i found these hd-sdi fiber extenders for $350 , i'm about to buy them, but i need to make sure - are they compatible with Sony HXRMC camcoders , did anyone have experience with these extenders? Thank you :)

SDI is mostly a high-end studio cabling isn't it? I'm guessing you won't get native support for that in a camera that's not horribly expensive. So to use that with this you'd also need an HDMI-SDI converter. This seems like a lot of effort on a hack that might not even work well. Does your camera even output clean video to HDMI or does it put up the User Interface on it?

I agree with both Matt and Steven. The HXRMC2500 has a BNC output that is composite only. Therefore you would need an HDMI-SDI converter like the ones below:
Then you can connect to those fiber extenders, which I have never used that brand. If you can't figure it out, their tech support should be able to help you, especially if you need another piece that they might make :-).
