Business / Domain Name

<p>I had thought of using "Shot by Trevor" as my business and domain name. However, with the way many people are sensitive about guns I was wondering if I shouldn't use the word "Shot" in the name of my business. On the other hand I thought it would be easy to remember. Let me know your thoughts. <br>

<p>I try and avoid the word myself.</p>

<p>I might be tempted to just your last name as a domain name, it seems pretty unique so you might find "photographybyyannayon" or "yannayonphotography" or similar to be available. I'd avoid the constructions like "photographybytrevor.com" or "shotbytrevor.com" but I don't know your intended market.</p>

 

I dont it would be an issue unless you had some gun or "camera shaped gun" as a graphic.

<p>I guess it depends what kind of client you are targeting, I don't think shot by trevor is a good idea. What kind of photography do you do? Maybe choose something related to that?<br>

I just opened a second website, www.sageandheart.com , not that I think that is super cool, but I have booked two additional weddings since setting it up two days ago because it targets brides more than my original domain does meganjolie.com</p>

<p>I agree with Charles, Yannayon is a unique surname and has a good ring to it, I would try and find some way of incorporating that! Perhaps simply Yannayon by itself. Or Yannayonimages could work. </p>
