James G. Dainis
That was an interesting article on not everyone believing in the invention of photography - "It Mustn't be True..." "An epidemic of vanity-maniacs will break our; for when any face can be given away and admired cheaply by the dozen, man will become wickedly superficial and wickedly vain. " Hey, were they talking about digital cameras and selfies back in 1839? James G. Dainis

kris-bochenek
I love the article about men creating images with men made machines and that it was impossible. Nice post yet again. Thank you, Marc.
tony_lockerbie
Yes Marc, this is a good one....and from my birth year too! That darned photography was the downfall of us all :)
Funny, looking at the ads and seeing the line that everyone loves a slide show...well, it's kind of come back to that with digital images on the television screen. Thing is, we really didn't like a slide show...still don't!

rick_drawbridge
Thanks, Marc, I've finally got around to sitting back with a coffee and enjoying the post. Great stuff, as usual; the article on cold light enlarging really took me back, to the debates I had with work associates about whether of not to invest in a new Durst cold-light system. We did, and it was one of the best moves we made, saving hours of "spotting" time and producing marvelous skin tones.
