I ordered leather for my Contax RTS II and paid via PayPal on Oct. 27th. On Nov. 10th, having heard nothing I emailed to get a status report. Morgan replied on the 11th. that it would take 15 days to ship but would send me shipping date next day. Nothing. On Dec. 16th. I asked again. On Dec 17th. I asked for a reply. Nothing. I have just sent an email asking (woefully) for my money back. Is this guy or his company dead? Any info on this or have I just been suckered?

I did a repeat order with him in September, and it took longer than the usual 5-6 weeks, but arrived fine. He is a small operation and occasionally the leathers one wants may not be up to his specifications, so one has to wait for a new shipment. Morgan doesn't communicate very well, which is pretty well known, and at times infuriating, but the end result for me has always been spectacular (mine have been one non-standard).

Oy. Good to know. I have about 3 cameras that I'd considered re-leathering. My first thought was finding some interesting thin leather at swap meets or thrift stores (purses, etc.), but his prices seemed reasonable enough for pre-cut kits that I was considering 'em.

I guess I'll wait a bit and see what happens.

June of this year, 2014, I went to camera leather dot com website and inquired about a leather replacement. I received a quick response

from Charlotte. I waited about a week and placed an order. I didn't think too much else about it until last week when I realized I never

have received the order. I contacted paypal and tried to contact CL.com. Anyway, I went to their website, and it no longer exists in the

cyber world. Luckily it was only 21.00. I just checked on here tonight, and see that Morgan Sparks has been enjoying a lot of people's

money.

I ordered some leather for my Rolleiflex on august 28 2014 and I have received the order on the september the 3, 2014. I had good feeback from my answers and the product is just great. Mr. Sparks also wrote down some helpfull hints so the job could be done nicely. My experience is very positive.

In spite of the many threads that say this guy is totally irresponsible, I bought a Leica skin from him (an embossed leather one). In my case, the service was fine. It arrived in the mail less than a week after I ordered it. Although I have not installed it yet, it looks right. Maybe things have gotten better or he has some help.
