stephen_p_seal
I want to purchase a bracket which will allow me to mount my Metz 45CL4 above my Hasselblad 503Cxi. I tried and liked the Jones #120, but it does not have room for the side-mounted SCA adapter. The Hasselblad handgrip is very comfortable, but I am skeptical as to whether the adapters that are available will mount securely enough to the hot shoe plate. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks, Steve Seal
paul_lasiter1
I have the Hasselblad flash bracket for my 503cxi and use a Metz 60CT-4. I use the Hasselblad over the flash adapter (Product #85344), and I am very pleased with the results. This setup does attached the flash securely to the shoe on the flash bracket and also moves the flash a pleasing distance from the lens/camera. Before I purchased this setup, I too was concerned about whether it would offer enough security to hold the Metz CT4. It does so quite nicely. peter_klosky1
Stroboframe makes a model for the Hasselblad, I believe model QL-66. I have been using this bracket for a number of years with good success. They have a handle mount attachment that has been quite sturdy for my METZ 60 CT 1 as well as Sunpack 522 and 544. They also have 1/4 20 and hot shoe attachments. <p> I don't like the Jones. It is heavy, and the one I had did not tighten properly. The stroboframe goes up nice and high, has a comfortable handle, and allows focusing. Did I mention that it also stands up on a table-top properly? I have several stroboframes. Great product, great company.
jack_chase
I second Peter's comments about the Stroboframe. I use one with a Metz 60CT4 and it works great!
gregg_mccroskey
Agreed. For the money, I go for Stroboframe. Mine are 8 -10 years old. and the 45 CL-4 screws right over the top- nicely balancing the whole thing.
