Mark Keefer
Sorry to hear you are having this problem.

Strange one, have you tried another memory card. If still happens, are you near any RF (radio frequency) source when this happens. Was the camera dropped, left in extreme temperatures (Hot/Cold) like left in hot sun in a car or extreme cold in winter for a period of time, moisture, salt water, humidity, maybe damaged or poor contacts, corroded contacts, cracked board in camera sensor and or circuitry. Have you confirmed the files come off the card like this on another computer.
All you can do is try another memory card, make sure you have a good charged battery, make sure not around any radio frequency transmitters and see if it still happens. If still bad I do not know if reinstalling/updating the camera firmware could help in case that got corrupted.
Send to Canon for repair and still no guarantee they will repair it if it costs more than the value of the camera. Good luck.

Cheers, Mark
jo7hs2
Definitely try a different memory card AND a different card reader. It looks like some sort of file corruption, which is *usually* the result of a card issue, either formatting, reading, or just failure of the card. If that doesn't sort it out, chances are the camera has some sort of internal issue and will require service by Canon or replacement.
mehmet_ali_akgun
Thanks a lot for the responses. Here is what I found out about this particular problem; It happens only when flash is used. And yes on a brand new card. Any reason why flash might be attached to this issue?
