Canon MC - current market price?

I have a very good condition Canon MC with it's flash unit (MC-S) which I'm looking to sell, but can't find much information on what they tend to go for. Does anyone have any ideas? It's one of the first auto-focus P&S, so I imagine a nice find for a collector. <br>

<p>I'd hazard a guess they have little resale value. Aside from a few prestige brands (Leica, Hasselblad, Rollei) there's almost no film camera value that isn't directly related to demand for use, and the demand has plummeted faster than the supply of used cameras. Point and Shoots never had much of the professional cachet of SLRs or Rangefinders and were pretty hard hit by the transition of film to an art-driven market. It looks like you might be able to get $25 for that. $110 is about the maximum for 35mm point'n'shoots and that's for a Stylus Epic which is much newer with nicer features.</p>

Seems to be the going rate on eBay for both advertised and completed sales.</p>

<p>Even quality SLRs are available down to the $15 range, with lens. </p>

 

<p>Your best bet on any question of value of an old camera is no longer some on-line or printed catalog. The world-wide market is now eBay. Search for whatever it is on the "sold" list (anybody can <strong><em>ask</em></strong> anything they want, the crux is what it sells for).<br>

If you find someone who doesn't know much about camera values, you might get as much as US$25, though some are offered in bundled bunches for less than that.</p>
