Has the Tri-x 120 backing changed?

Anyone noticed the Tri-x backing has changed? The tab that slides into the empty spool is now white. More importantly, I've heard Kodak is now using a new slicker backing. The problem is that the backing slips a bit when removing a roll from the camera. I'm getting what's called "fat roll", or light leaks outside the frame.<br>

Seems loading and unloading Tri-x 120 must be done more carefully with this new backing.<br>

Any thoughts on this?<br>

<p>Some cameras make it hard to get the roll out and keep the paper tight at the same time. On some, you can tighten up the roll, but not too much, before taking it out.</p>

<p>The backing has changed, but I haven't noticed any differences in the tightness of the rolls. The only film that gives me problems like you are describing is Acros, and that's a fairly recent development.</p>
