landon_chi
I am new to website creation so I have no idea what websites are good to create a portfolio. I have done a some research and pulled up SquareSpace, Cargo Collective, and 4ormat as good portfolio websites. I was wondering which website was the best to create a simple portfolio that won't break the bank. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or any experience with these websites. Thank you.
ellis_vener_photography
First things first: Who is in your target market? How will the website work into your overall marketing plan? Are you lookng to just have it be a portfolio site or are you looking for e-commerce sales and licensing as well?
50d-boy
Completely agree with Ellis. The parameters would help. Having said this, I really like Squarespace. Its scalar so you can take it from a basic personal portfolio site to a full professional site with e-commerce. Relatively cost effective and very very easy to use.

Good luck

Cheers
John
natasha_sadikin
I'm also another supporter of square space. I really love their website/workflows and it looks very professional. They are also really fast at support~
anton_suhan
Hi Landon
i think squarespace is a good one, but you have other good choices, such as photoshelter, wix, format, and zenfolio. Subscribe fee/ plan varies.
