I was trying out some special effects on some pictures I took last week. Even though it's a gorgeous weekend with temperatures close to 60 degrees, I had to stay inside mostly to study for a test...
Picture #1 - Water Tower

00dG6k-556485184.jpg.297a05d19750041c78bc76a1739f65be.jpg

Harry that last one reminds me of a bad hangover!
We have had an unsettled weather week. It makes it hard to get out sometimes but it's often really beautiful.
This was from a hike yesterday with the family. Sunny and also hailing.
I converted an old Leitz Elmarit-R 135/2.8 to K mount with an inexpensive Chinese Leitax clone. Seems to work well enough. The lens is a brick. It feels like it must be filled with lead. Nice action. I used the only model I had handy to try it out. I wish it could allow A mode but it's all green button metering and M mode for this one. I also have a Summicron-R 50/2 and another mount that I was also convert soon. It will be fun to see what the Leica buzz is about.
Today we almost went skiing but decided to ride instead. It's fun to have the choice this time of year. Mountain biking was great and we dodged the storms until the final couple of miles home when we got seriously hailed on. Still a great day.

I took my Sigma 18-35/1.8 for a walk last week I wasn't expecting much--it was a gloomy day so I figured it was more a walk in the woods than a shooting session but I ended up seriously impressed by that lens.
