I enjoyed this on a whim .. and don't take it too seriously.... meant as a laugh.

 

If we can't laugh at ourselves....

 

Since the listing is in German. .well scroll down I think you get the idea. The seller says in the final sentence ..

"Seriously guys you will need a spare room to house the collection. A station-wagon won'T suffice, please consider a

van or other transport vehicle"

 

In the listing they mention 40+ other cameras of modern compact design.... too numerous to mention.

An array of lenses,flashes, cases, literature ... and on and on ...

<p>Interesting. I used to see my late friend Charlie Barringer's collection as large. I mean, shipping what Westlicht would take of it to Vienna required nearly 300 boxes.</p>

<p>I once remarked to Charlie that he had a lot. He replied that in the cosmic scheme of things he didn't have that much, told me about a Zeiss collector in CA who'd dedicated an entire house, and not a small one, to his treasures. When I mentioned this to Charlie's widow she told me that she'd been in the house. It was not well air conditioned, was very humid and the treasures were deteriorating rapidly. She didn't approve.</p>

<p>Those boxes with cases ring a bell... I have enough cupboard space for my cameras but those boxes and bags with camera cases really start taking their toll (on my marriage)</p>

<p>Sorry, but I have to say that's not what I would call a "<strong>quality</strong>" collection.<br /> A boat load of East German & Russian equipment (Just a splash of Japanese units)?</p>

<p>To each his own; I <strong>wouldn't</strong> even pay 1/10th of his asking.<br /> There's a reason he's selling everything as a "bundle". Selling them piecemeal is hardly worth the effort/labor for the small final price return investment...</p>

<p>All in all, I'd rather have just one 1928 Leica or Rolleiflex than that whole pile.</p>

think there may be one 1928 Leica there but ...you gotta play to win!
