gordon_cole
Is it too late to catch the California poppies, lupine, and other wildflowers in bloom in the Gorman area of south-central California? I'm looking to travel that way during the next two weeks, and would like to take advantage of the chance to catch some spring wildflower photos. This area is absolutely gorgeous in a good year. frank_kolwicz
Yes, I afraid it is much too late for this year. The rains came early and stopped early, so, even though we had more rain than usual, it is a poor year for the flower display and it ended all too soon. I was able to see some fields of poppies and lupine, etc. about two weeks ago, but that was at around 5000' and only in very limited areas not open to the public.
