SCL
Places in the North American continent or somewhere else in the world? Your title says countries, but doesn't give any hint of what your timeframe, budget, or interests are. Many Canadian provinces, as well as Alaska (a state, not a country), for instance, during the summer has weather much like upstate NY. Certain parts of the South American continent, likewise do (their winter) also. Winter doesn't necessarily mean snow, like NY...in many regions it means a dry season much like NY's autumn. I've been down to Peru in (our) mid summer - their mid-winter, and the weather both on the coast and in the mountains was absolutely delightful...short sleeved shirts during the day, light sweaters sometimes in the evening - excpt when you got higher than 8000 ft, it was a little cooler. Give us more info, and you'll get tons of recommendations.

Summer in Paris is not like summer in NYC - there are more Americans in Paris than in NYC in the summer.
Robin Smith

mark_warn
I think the best country to visiting in summer is ICELAND.It is a land of dazzling white glaciers and black sands, blue hot springs, rugged lava fields, and green, green valleys.
