nhat_nguyen
I have a beat-up Minolta Autocord that is my weekend hobby project. I'm interested in removing the dried leather and replacing it with new leather. My question is what kind of adhesive is used to affix the leather to the camera body? Thanks
ken___1
I used the clear rubber glue found on any stationary ailse on department store ( Kmart, Walmart) to reglue the leather on my Hassy backs. It cost less than $2.00 a bottle and it works wonderful. It's repositionable and the glue can be remove by alcohol, Just remeber to follow instruction on the label. morthcam
I asked at the Mamiya website and their service rep said they use Pliobond.
jack_kirkhuff
Have used Contact Cement with very good results. Remember though that you coat both surfaces then let it dry. Then when you put the two together the bond is permanent! Best to do a small area to let you get things lined up, then coat the rest.
photodr___
If you go to the Microtools homepage, at micro-tools.com, you will find a complete source of photo tools. There are also items such as the replacement leather and correct glue for cameras.
