Steam trains, aka choo-choo trains, hold a special fascination for me. This is a narrow gauge vintage 1917 loco that runs in Leighton Buzzard, north of London that I popped up to admire last weekend.

Jim, I've only seen once before aurora that fill the sky like that in Southern Finland. In Lapland the situation is much easier for the aurora photographer though, but I guess I'm not committed enough to move there. ;-) I was actually going to photograph stars as it was a clear sky and new moon but then I noticed in the afternoon the increased geomagnetic activity reported.

Andrew, I love steam trains also. The sound is beautiful and they're so photogenic ;-) I sometimes visit London for work; it would be great to have the opportunity to photograph a steam train while in England.
