After planning and construction that seemed to proceed at a crawl, the bike/pedestrian w\bridge over the Snake River is finally open. The bridge includes decks to pause and envoy the view and rushing water. This is a lee wave cloud that has formed frequently in the last few days. I dropped the blue, and pushed the yellow and green luminance to give an IR effect.

00csXY-551688284.jpg.3c50f769129da22c3c02bb28763af817.jpg

After an interesting shoot with my 105mm VR (on DX) produced some colour aberrations, someone kindly pointed out they were kinda pretty. How true they were! This was a dew-covered spider's web with the lens suffering from Long CA and with the image's saturation then boosted. In a way these are not created colours......just emphasized!

D5300 + 105VR + SB-800. Manual 1/200 @ ISO 100 @ f4.2. Flash ~ 1/16 power.

00csY6-551689184.jpg.030c76826f2a6e9d5dbbacae097e8275.jpg

Happy Wednesday everyone. Lovely photos as always.

I haven't posted for a while; I've been doing a lot of kayaking before the winter returns. I don't have protective gear for the Nikon, so all my pictures were taken with the phone.

Here's a picture of my sister's dog taken at a recent family gathering.....

00csYo-551691984.jpg.f53f86caa6cc79c9f00f15e0e22c63d0.jpg

Autumn in Quebec: One thing I love about the fall scene in Eastern Canada was the ubiquitous juxtaposition of the spruce's conical form in green, against the vibrant yellow, orange, and reds. When we drove over the border to Vermont USA , the colors on the rolling hills were magnificent, but gone were the triangular designs.

00csYv-551692384.jpg.9fd1f1283774c505c746d72173cdb316.jpg

As a counterpoint to John Harper's night photography done well, here is my night-photography fail* (or crappy self portrait, depending on how you look at things) at a "scenic viewpoint" just off of the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire. For those wondering about the mechanics, my shadow is actually from the moon which was behind me, the light streaks are of course from a passing car which drove through the scene while the shutter was open.

*Come to think of it, this was probably deliberate, since I can think of no other reason I'd have had the camera pointed this way. That said, certainly a few other night-sky shots were ruined by cars passing through.

00csa4-551696284.jpg.c5ca68429d3acc02a54f4dffa9dabce1.jpg
