What glue to use for refastening screen protector?

<p>I bought a used Samsung and the fancy Schott glas screen protector fell off. - What kind / brand of glue should I use to refasten it? - Known pitfalls? Any handling tricks? - Thanks.</p>

we bought a packet of soft and clkear screem protector material at radio shack.<br>

you just trim it and press it oin the camera or ipad display<br>

no glue needed.<br>

if scrached you just peel it off.<br>

it is not reallysticky. it just is soft and adheres easily.</p>

 

<p>Flipbac uses 3M and Sony tapes on their LCD protector/angle finders, and grip add-ons. I'm not sure which 3M tape they use for some of their LCD protectors, but one photo illustration shows Sony G9000 double sided tape being used, so the 3M equivalent should be good too.</p>

<p>FWIW, I've used 3M Command damage-free adhesives to mount accessories to photo equipment, and so far the adhesives have held securely and removed cleanly. However these are double-sided foam tapes and I'm not sure what the 3M equivalent would be for a clear adhesive to secure the edges of a screen protector.</p>

<p>TESA 4972 double-sided tape according to B+H's website. Do a Google search, there is some info around but it is rather fragmented. </p>

@ Walter: yes, soft and replaceable protector materialsounds like a good Idea I'd probably go for on my own too, but well I have that piece of glas to remount. - I never bothered about screen protection on my previous cameras.</p>
