I would like to recommend a new lightstand which have automatic open and self-retracting funcitons, that will easy for you to shorten the set time and you will have enough room to move your light.
spec:
net weight:1.9kg
close height:86cm
min operate height:93cm
max operate height:2.5m
load capacity: 9kg at
no air-cushion
footprint: 1.05m
I think those products will getting more popular becasue we all did not like to make the screw lots.

The old Redwing Quick-stand was good. Unless a drunk falls on it. I have the large version still, and it is quite robust.

I replaced the small version (after the drunk crushed one leg) with a Denny EZ Stand, which is not as good. I use them when transporting a small light and small umbrella at an event or when using a small light to photograph interiors quickly. They work well in crowded rooms, or when a set up light and modifier needs to be carried from one room to another.

This post does seem like a clumsy and somewhat devious sales pitch. I'm not interested, primarily because of your sales technique, "Eric"... t

I had two old Redwing stands and I loved them. When they finally died, not from a drunk but from being used for years, I replaced them with two of the Cheetah lightweight copies of the Redwing and they are both still soldiering on. I tried the heavier version (such as Mr Jiang is touting) made by Redwing and found they and the light on top of them made them too heavy to safely handle one-handed (which was the point of the lightweight Redwing and Cheetah versions).
