p_c10
I'm concerned about scratching my eyeglasses on a Minolta CLE. Can anyone tell me if the viewfinder eyepiece is made of metal or plastic? Thanks.
aplumpton
Looking at images of the camera it can be noticed that the colour of the eyepiece and the winder plastic end are identical, shinier than the metal body. With 90% degree of certainty I would say it is plastic.

Even if I am wrong, it is an easy matter to cut small strips of electrician's tape to cover around the protruding rim of the eyepiece and so protect your glasses. Perhaps equally important is whether you will see the full VF frame when wearing glasses, a problem that is there also with other RF cameras and which lead some to purchase an add on ocular lens of the right correction.

graham_line
Don't remember ever scratching eyeglasses on my CLE's finder. The Pentaxes I had earlier were a very different story.
p_c10
I've been working with the CLE and haven't had a problem. The eyepiece is plastic, as others have suggested. Thanks.
