chris_hansen
I have had some success in selling my Blacktail Deer slides to some local and regional publications. However most publications seem to be looking for Mule Deer or Whitetail images. Do any of you seasoned pros or others know of any magazines that need Blacktail photos? hans_buchholdt
I've made sales of my Sitka Blacktail Deer pix to corporations involved in forest products, for annual reports, and tour companies for ad campaigns. Local markets much like what you've been doing. <p> I haven't seriously tried to find a wider market, but I've thought about things like "Defenders" - the quarterly publication of Defenders of Wildlife. The Sierra Club and all the rest of similer publications. Blacktail Deer really don't seem to qualify as charismatic megafauna, and the sellable appeal might be limited to niche market of the envirnmentally aware, concerned, and informed. hans_buchholdt
well, I just now see that in the summer 1997 issue of "Defenders" on page 12 is a very nice Blacktail photo by Art Wolfe...
