rmuckey
Just back from evening country ride with new(to me) EF300mm f4L IS lens. Its going to take a bit of getting use to - hunts more than the EF 70-200 f4L IS if the background is the least bit cluttered, but I guess that's to be expected with the longer focal lenghth. 7D, ISO 400, f4, 1/25, EV- +1/3

katsone
Thom, Dave and Marcel, thanks for the compliments on my cloud images. Yes Thom, it was a wall cloud with a little bit of rotation, but way too lazy to become a tornado. It was fantastic to see the influx of the other clouds heading into it. Everyone's images on Canon Thursday are so inspirational to me, I really look forward to this every week!

Laura Weishaupt
Katherine, wow!
Adrian K, those are Echinacea....Cone Flowers.
Bob Muckey, that 300mm f4 is a nice lens. You'll have a great time with it.

We head into town a few times during the 10 days of Musikfest. Performances are on 15 stages spread across town all day and night. There's music that appeals to everyone and most is free. The first is a steam calliope that was playing in front of the under construction National Museum of Industrial History. The sound traveled for blocks down the street through the cavernous buildings that were once part of Bethlehem Steel, creating a surrealistic atmosphere.

Laura Weishaupt
One of the best aspects of Musikfest is hearing music that one might not normally take in. Kuf Knotz played at a venue set up on Main Street.

patrick_kirchner2
Focus stack of 108 pictures using 3 Kenko extension tubes on my Canon 20D (that finally died three weeks after this shoot). A non-IS version of the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro lens was on the end of the extension tubes which was then on a $20 Dot Line manual slide on top of my new Redged TSC-427K tripod and ballhead. I used Helicon Focus (method B) to stack the shots. I also used a Bower RCWC3R wireless shutter release.
