morten_amundsen
I recently got my hands on a 35 GL. Shutter, meter and so on all seems to work. But when I load it with film, the film advance lever is very, very sluggish. I have to force forward it to the point where I'm worried I might break something.
Any ideas?
paul_wheatland
Here are some hints as to the problem: Rewind crank and shaft should spin freely(shaft may be bent causing binding). Film advance and cocking lever should move freely without binding. Both of the above tests should be performed without film in the camera. The film drive sprocket should advance by thumb in one direction and freely in both directions with rewind release button pushed in and held in. Check to see that pressure plate is free of dirt, debris or any sticky substance that would not allow smooth transport of film. Hopefully you'll locate the problem with these simple tests. Keep us posted. I have the GL Minox and like it a lot!
