I uploaded 4 images there but its more or less the same in many images. luckily I shoot double images one after the other and I shoot with 2 cards and one as a backup.

I will not post the brand of the card. and weve had this issue with 3 of them so far. having to do an RMA and get a replacement.

Why can't you just post the images, because some of us don't use or want mediafire?

Have you had bad cards in several cameras? What's the problem with telling us what specific card, who cares? Maybe

we have had similar problems, or similar cards to look out for. Are they fakes possibly?

no fakes. legit from amazon. 3 in one year. all different cameras. d3/d3s/d4/d4s will not say the name for now. im discussing the matter with the company.

dont mind to post here, but maybe you can tell me how as I dont really know.

medifire is like any other file sharing site/ cloud site like dropbox. but no problem to upload here. just need a guide on how to.

Exactly. Could you post the images somewhere people can simply view, without creating some account and login?

I have had similar, actually worse, issues with the D800E: http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00akyq

I was using two memory cards in the backup mode. The image on the SD card was corrupted while the one on the CF card was perfectly fine. I no longer use that particular memory card and this problem has not recurred recently.

At least in my case, the problem was the SD card. That card happened to be a Lexar. In these days I only use either SanDisk or Lexar cards. Both brands have given me a few rare problems, but for the most part, I have had very good experience with those two brands.

Since the errors seem different between the first and the other example pictures and Just to be sure : what program do you use to import the images to your computer, and did you also try another USB cable ( or reader) to connectto your cardreader or camera's ?

they are not fakes. they were bought from amazon. so leave it. I dont care what the images look like.why one is red and one is green and others had different colors and so forth, I dont know since im not a memory tech person. and I dont care. it really doesnt interest me. if the file comes out any different then what I shot then I care.
I didnt use any software to import them. I use w7, donwloaded them to its folder and looked them over in photo viewer and thats what you see like I see. importing has nothing to do with the image being corrupt. and I did use another memory card reader to make sure it wasnt that but to no avail. luckily the other card had the proper images undamaged..

@shun 3 of the same cards in less than a year very much worries me. I will have them replace all my cards to new. if they dont, Ill let all the pro photogs I know and work with of my issues with them as well as groups of thousands of photogs and it will not be worth their while. I put 7 cards and 3 are bad within a year. thats bad statistics any wya you look at it. sorry you had your problems. thank god you recoved them from the other card. its scary when it happens the first time. I practically crapped myself and turned white/sweaty. its very scary.

you have said

you dont need to login. just click and see..

the genius who built the site didnt think to put it on the same page as the dialog box [followed by by posts of oversize images and no caption, so obviously not reading the instructions]

and I dont care. it really doesnt interest me

its the card.

Why post since you already have all the answers?

Robert, Thx for your reply .

I did not say anything about fakes. I just asked about some causes that I have seen to cause imperfect importing of images on a PC.
But if you are totally sure the cause is in the cards, then that's ok with me too, and I will not spend any energy in this challenge and whish you the best of luck with resolving these issues by yourselve .

Odd problem. I don't get the offset where the colors go wonky. What kind of hardware are you using? I don't know why it would be the card. Can you take a card with the faulty images to a different computer and look at them there? Are the cards compatible with your camera? It seems to me that if you are the only one with this particular problem and it is happening with multiple cards, it probably isn't the cards. I would be suspicious of your computer.

I've had a couple of cards that behaved badly with some devices but worked well with others. In particular one Lexar SD card balks with my laptop's built-in card reader. But it works fine with the desktop's built-in card reader, and with an external card reader plugged into the laptop's USB ports. And I have a 1 GB Sandisk CF card that won't work with my D2H, but will work with other cameras.

If you've tried an external card reader be sure it has at least one RFI-suppressing ferrite choke on one end - that's the odd looking little barrel shaped doodad on many cords and cables. Often problems with electronic devices can be fixed by switching to a cable with better shielding and ferrite chokes or other RFI/EMI suppression devices. Or try another USB port on the computer.

And try another method for transferring photos. For whatever reason Picasa often works better for me than Lightroom, so often I'll use Picasa to transfer photos to the computer, then Lightroom to import to the catalog.
