W/NW: Medium Format Photo of the Month: June 2014

<p>Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!!!! I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend. Time to post up the MF photo of the month. So, don't be shy, dig through the dusty archives and pick out a shot from 1972 if you have to....or give us something more recent. What ever it takes. This one is with Mamiya 6MF and Kodak Tmax 100 developed in Rodinal and scanned on Epson V700. It's from a continuing series I've been working on: The Remains of <a href="http://city.passchristian.net/japanese_gardens.htm">Middlegate Japanese Gardens</a></p>

<p>Not from 1972, but from 2009. I used a Fujica GS645 GS with a deep yellow filter. Film was Tri-X processed in HC110 dilution B. Scanned with Epson V600.</p><div></div>

<p>Hi<br /> Here's one taken with an ancient Rolleicord which I bought two months ago at a gun show...for $20<br /> This is from the third roll shot through it, first roll of color - Fuji Reala<br /> I am amazed that the old camera gives this decent color rendition....and yet the pictures still seem to have the old time look....much as the black and white photos taken with it.</p><div></div>

<p>Trying out a recently bought Mamiya RB67 with 90mm lens and it's close focus abilities. The film was Neopan 400. </p><div></div>

<p>Nice work. I miss that stuff in 120.</p>

<p>I like all of this months photos and the variety of cameras, lenses and films used. It would be great if more showed what they were scanned with. </p>

<p>I was probably about 4 feet away from the bird for that one. That was the best of a few shots I took as I crept up. </p>

I scan all medium format film with

epson v700

I have found an adjustment using

aftermarket neg holder and glass which

gives me comparable scans to hi-res

commercial scans I was paying big

bucks for before.

Between Nikon NX2, photoshop

elements and Picasa I get decent files
