michael_rogers
I just bought a Yashica 124 Mat G. I'm unsure of what the flash sync speed is. 250 is slightly offset on the speed dial,so I'm guessing that's the flash speed. Does anyone know for sure? jeff_montgomery
All leaf shutters sync at all shutter speeds. The Yashica does have a leaf and it should sync at all speeds.
JM
a._t._seliotis
Unless I miss my guess, the 124 G has a leaf shutter so should be synced at all speeds. The only question when considering what speed to use with a flash is how much ambient light you wish to record in your photographs.
Good luck,
A. T. wilf_lee
I have one here and it syncs at all speeds. If you're using an electronic flash, be sure to set the flash sync lever (on the left side, between the lenses) to 'X' for proper sync.
And as an aside, if the lever is set to 'M', DO NOT use the self-timer as this jams the mechanism. michael_canter
Many of us oldtimers (we oldimers? is that correct?) would loop a small elastic band from the sync selector lever to the self timer lever to prevent accidental changing off the "X" position
