john_cappai
Does anyone know where I can find an instructions booklet of the above projector or the exact type of lamp used? Is it possible to install a bigger lamp? Do Rollei lenses for the 66 series projectors fit?
fwstutterheim
Hallo John,
I have an instrucion booklet but I suppose you can't reed Dutch. If you fail to find one and have questions send me a private e-mail.
In the P11 two types of lamps can be placed. The strongest lamp needs an extra heat filter. Before inserting a stronger lamp, make sure you have 2 heat filters installed. You can easily check the projector. If you have a free slot in the optical system the extra heat filter is not present and it is not advised to put in the stronger lamp. Tonight I shall look up and mail the details of the lamps.
Ferdinand
rick_campbell
You can order a photocopy of the instructions from: Marflex 39 US 46 Pine Brook, NJ 07058 (201) 808-9626
My projector had a CWD bulb in it, which was a 500watt (mine has the two heat glasses). I bought a CAL/CXP bulb which was 300watt because I like using the cooler bulbs. I did have to turn the bulb socket around since the CAL/CXP bulb had an internal reflector that faced the wrong way. Don't drop the screws into the projector! There are probably lots of other bulbs that would fit since it's a standard socket.
I've been told that the newer lenses will fit but haven't tried it myself. Also, FYI, the Kinderman medium format trays will work.
Have fun. It's a nicely made piece of equipment and works well.
fwstutterheim
Hallo John,
In my manual the lamp socket is described as G 17 q (4 pin). A 300 W lamp is for normal room projection. The 500 W lamp is intended for hall projection. This last one needs an extra heat filter to be placed in the free slot before the standard heat filter.
An important button is the 'loading button'. The second one from the left when you look at the back. Press this one before loading. Next press the 'light button'. Then press the 'forward button' and continue whith the remote control.
It's a great projection machine. It is however in the habit of jamming. If (better when) this happens: Hit the button on top to open the top cover. This will stop everything that is still moving. In most cases this will unjam the projector. If not rotate the big wheel under the top cover. This should do it and you can start again. Good luck and have fun.
Ferdinand.
chauncey_l._walden
The Manual calls for a 300 watt CWD or a 500 watt DAK (currently DAY/DAK). It says the second heat filter (the front one) is recommended for 500 watt projection, especially for long projection periods. It has the European bulb equivalents also, so give a yell if anyone needs them. Incidentally, the big slotted screw head on the left side loading ramp is for centering the bulb after replacement.
