Nikon Wednesday 2013: #48

<p>I seem to be doing a lot of indoor photography at night this month. This is the latest at the Rendville Art Works Art Exhibit at the Bryn Du Mansion in Granville, Ohio. All photos taken with a D300 with 17-55 f/2.8 and SB-900 flash. For many of the indoor photos I had a LumiQuest 80-20 reflector mounted to the flash.</p><div></div>

<p>Rendville Art Works in Rendville, Ohio is an Independent Service Provider for Perry County Bd. of Developmental Disabilities. Most of the art on display, and for sale, was created by Perry DD clients.</p><div></div>

<p>The Perry DD clients receive something like 80 - 90% of the proceeds from the sale.</p><div></div>

<p>The great stone circle at Avebury, Wiltshire, is set in a much larger prehistoric landscape. Most visitors don't get beyond the stone circle, but a mile or so to the north one shares the early neolithic site of Windmill Hill only with sheep and skylarks. There are views towards the late Neolithic mound of Silbury Hill (the largest prehistoric mound in Europe), as well as well preserved barrows (funerary mounds) of late Neolithic/ Early Bronze Age date.<br>

<p><img src="/photo/17601516" alt="" />This is an empty Farmer's field in St.Phillippe in Quebec one late afternoon. This is a no-tripod 3 image HDR with some small adjustments in Capture NX. I used continuous high speed shutter and auto-bracket.</p><div></div>

<p>Southbound D&I train going through Canton, South Dakota. Had to use x5 Nikon SB-25 to light the train, and x3 White Lightning X3200 to light the elevator.</p>

<p>Saw this M/Y A yacht in the Auckland Harbour a few days ago. Its unusual appearance caught my eye. The tour guide described it as property of a Russian tycoon: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_(yacht)">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_(yacht)</a></p>

<p>My accomodation in New Zealand was, of course, far more modest, but we did get to stay on the Milford Mariner for one night.</p>

<p>Nikon D7100 with 80-400mm AF-S VR at 80mm, wide open at f4.5 and I used 1/800 sec since I was on a small boat.</p><div></div>

<p>As parade starts I decide that 3 1/2 hours of shoots the eager participants is enough and I head out, this shot represents the near beginning of the parade.<br>
