from the trenches in walmart

What part do you want us to think on?... the quality of the photos? Or the author's sociopolitical rant about Walmart?

The photos look very color accurate for a mobile device. The other part has to be discussed in the "Off Topic" forum which has been shut down until further notice by PN administrators.

I like Walmart because of the rich green of their Good Value Brand Lime Jello. Its green is actually beyond the gamut capture capabilities of my DSLR and sRGB display to reproduce accurately.

00c91d-543488184.jpg.d8d0a3b715d939db2cbb6e8b78b1cee6.jpg

Hahaha! Good reply Tim! :)
I like shooting my little Samsung Nexus for informal documentary purposes... then mix up the photos with my words.
Actually, I thought my sociopolitical rant was in support of Walmart and calling for a "kinder and gentler" government! :)

Brian, what did you mean by, "I don't think he wrote anything?"
What about all the words in between my photos? Confused by your comment.
I think of myself as artist/photographer first, but somehow people respond more stongly to my writing. I like working the two together. Makes me think about the Lewis Hines quote, "If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera." Hmmm, I can probably tell the story better in words, but I like exploring it in photos! Best!

What's the problem? Can't post photos that are used in a context other than gear testing?
Sorry, haven't shot any brick walls or newspaper pages with the cell phone to see how it stacks up against a Summicron.
I've gotten a lot positive response to the cell phone photos in this piece I put together. How about posting the link with the disclaimer, "Do not respond to the political opinions expressed within on photo.net and just focus on the creative aspects?"
More than half the writing gets past the politics and is really about life in general with the photos illustrating the feelings.
